He’d wake up every day at sunrise and prepare a homemade meal for his work lunch break. Soon, Aharon Nutovics saw a gaping need for action. He realized that his hardworking neighbors and friends needed kosher ready-made foods to grab on the go. And so, Aharon and his wife began creating homemade egg and tuna salads to distribute to the local grocery stores.
They chopped, peeled, mixed, handwrote labels, and delivered to the stores, and in that Williamsburg apartment, the Tuv Taam legacy was born.
As the food operation got bigger, the kitchen grew too small. The Nutovics moved production to a local residential basement, purchased a large mixer, and hired some hands to help with the food preparation.
Once more, Tuv Taam outgrew the space and moved to a modern, commercial space. The bigger the brand grew, the stronger the commitment to creating foods and flavors that feel just like home. Tiny Williamsburg kitchen to state of the art facility, Tuv Taam’s mission for homestyle carries on.
Today, Tuv Taam combines the wisdom of the experienced with the energy of the youthful, infusing the brand with age-old nostalgia and cutting-edge innovation. Always a few steps forward while clinging to the tastes of yore.
